Hi, I’m Jake.

It’s my job to liase with the LGBT student body and take your opinions and motions (of the political kind) to Senate (the Union’s Big Cheese meeting once per month).

Recently, I have been working on a motion for Senate to push for the Unity Guides to be added alongside other specialty Peer Guides, such as Mature Students, Students with Disabilities and International Students. It has now gone through, which means that the SU Sabb team will be lobbying the Uni to add Unity Guides, as well as specialised training for Peer Guides on how to deal with any issues may arise.

I’m now working on editing two motions that were passed last year, so that they can be passed by Senate again.
